Indian Organisations Must Work Together to Promote Cultural Diversity: Deputy Ambassador Sandeep Kumar

Doha (Qatar): Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indian Embassy in Qatar, Sandeep Kumar, has stressed the need for greater solidarity and cooperation among Indian organisations to effectively promote India’s rich cultural diversity in Qatar.

The remarks came during a meeting with the newly elected management committee of Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ), which was led by its President Subramanya Hebbagililu. The delegation introduced the association’s office-bearers for the 2026–28 term and briefed the Deputy Ambassador on its proposed social, cultural and community service initiatives for the next two years.

Addressing the delegation, Sandeep Kumar praised the contributions of the Indian community in Qatar and underscored the importance of an inclusive and united approach in organising large-scale cultural and social programmes.

He suggested that such events should be planned in close coordination with various Indian, regional and socio-cultural organisations functioning under the Indian Embassy’s umbrella. He said unity, mutual cooperation and collective participation would help showcase India’s diverse cultural heritage more effectively in Qatar.

Welcoming the guidance, the Karnataka Sangha Qatar office-bearers assured that the association would organise more participatory and inclusive programmes in the future while working closely with other Indian organisations.

The meeting concluded with the Karnataka Sangha Qatar team honouring Deputy Ambassador Sandeep Kumar with a traditional shawl and a memento in recognition of his support and encouragement.
