Bengaluru: Karnataka is set to experience continued wet weather over the next two days, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by gusty winds across several coastal and interior districts.
According to the IMD, the prevailing weather conditions are expected to persist until July 22, with widespread rainfall likely over coastal Karnataka and several parts of north and south interior regions.
In south interior Karnataka, moderate rainfall coupled with wind speeds of 30-40 kmph has been forecast for Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, Kodagu, Hassan, Mysuru, Mandya, Ramanagara, Tumakuru, Vijayanagara, Davanagere, Chitradurga, Ballari, Kolar, Chikkaballapur and Chamarajanagar districts.
The coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada are also likely to receive moderate rainfall at most places during the period.
Meanwhile, scattered rain accompanied by gusty winds of 30-40 kmph is expected across north interior districts, including Bagalkote, Belagavi, Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Raichur, Vijayapura and Yadgir, the weather office said.
