Riyadh Airport Partially Reopens Amid Saudi-Houthi Escalation

Riyadh: King Khalid International Airport has partially resumed operations amid escalating tensions between Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Houthi rebels following reported missile attacks targeting Saudi facilities.

Saudi forces intercepted and destroyed 12 missiles and two drones during attacks launched in three phases, reportedly targeting the Khamis Mushait airbase and Jizan naval base.

Missile debris injured two people, including a Saudi national, and damaged three residential buildings and seven vehicles, according to reports.

The Houthis warned against using Riyadh airport and urged people to stay away from Saudi oil facilities. They claimed the attacks were retaliation for Saudi strikes and alleged that several locations in Yemen, including the capital Sanaa, had been targeted.

Meanwhile, explosions were reported in Yemen’s southern port city of Aden, with no immediate information available on casualties.
