New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced financial assistance from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the victims of the mishap in Birbhum, West Bengal.
The next of kin of each person who died in the incident will receive ₹2 lakh, while those injured will be provided ₹50,000 as ex-gratia assistance.
The Prime Minister’s Office announced the decision in a post on X on Sunday, expressing the Centre’s support for the affected families.
The assistance is aimed at providing immediate financial relief to the families of those who lost their lives and those undergoing treatment following the incident.
