When will there be reels on potholes? R. Ashok questions Minister Krishna Byre Gowda

Bengaluru: Leader of Opposition R. Ashok has targeted Bengaluru Urban Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda over the worsening pothole problem in the city, asking when the government will make reels about potholes instead of publicity campaigns.

In a post on social media platform X, Ashok shared photographs of pothole-ridden roads in areas including Vinayak Layout, Nagarbhavi, Muddinapalya Road and Jayanagar 8th Block. He alleged that commuters across Bengaluru are struggling due to poor road conditions.

Criticising the Congress government’s “Brand Bengaluru” campaign, Ashok said the administration has failed to address basic infrastructure issues. He accused the government of neglecting road maintenance despite repeated complaints from citizens.

Ashok further alleged that the failures of the state government and the Urban Development Department have forced Bengaluru residents to travel on unsafe roads every day.

“Instead of reprimanding officials before cameras and making reels, the government should first ensure potholes are filled,” he said, warning that Bengaluru voters would give a fitting response if the issue remains unresolved.

The Opposition leader urged the government to take immediate steps to repair damaged roads and improve public safety across the city.
