Aarogya Setu 2.0, Digital Health Initiatives to Be Launched on June 29

New Delhi: Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda will launch a series of digital health initiatives, including Aarogya Setu 2.0, on June 29 to strengthen India’s digital healthcare ecosystem and improve access to health services.

Aarogya Setu 2.0 will function as a comprehensive Personal Health Record (PHR) platform, enabling users to create and manage ABHA accounts, access and share digital health records, receive AI-powered health insights, integrate wearable devices, book OPD registrations, make hospital payments, and manage family health records. The app will also help users locate nearby hospitals, doctors, blood banks, ambulance services and Jan Aushadhi Kendras.

The upgraded Ayushman App will offer services such as eligibility checks, Ayushman Card management, treatment history, hospital search and grievance redressal for PM-JAY beneficiaries. Ayushman Sarathi, a WhatsApp chatbot, will provide scheme-related services through a simple conversational interface.

Other key initiatives include the National Health Claims Exchange (NHCX) for faster digital insurance claim processing, Unified Health Interface (UHI) for interoperable healthcare access, and e-Sushrut Clinic for digitising clinical workflows.

The government will also launch the Drug Registry, Common LOINC Codes for India (CLCI) and Bharat Health Terminology Service (BHTS) to standardise healthcare data and improve interoperability across India’s digital health ecosystem. These initiatives aim to make healthcare more accessible, efficient and connected nationwide.
