Bengaluru: Actress Rukmini Vasanth has approached the cyber police after AI-generated fake photos and videos allegedly depicting her were circulated on social media.
The actress, who recently drew attention for her role in Kantara Chapter 2, said the images being shared online were “completely fake” and amounted to a serious invasion of privacy.
Responding on X, Rukmini said, “Some AI-generated photos are being circulated claiming to be mine. They are completely fake and artificial. Creating and sharing such content is a serious violation of privacy.”
She said she had taken the matter seriously and confirmed that a complaint had been filed with the cyber police. The actress also warned that legal and cybercrime action would be initiated against those responsible for creating and spreading the manipulated content.
“My team and I have noticed some AI-generated images circulating online. They are completely false. Sharing such artificial content is irresponsible,” she stated.
Rukmini also appealed to the public not to forward or circulate the fake images and videos on social media platforms.
