Australia Clinch Record Seventh Women’s T20 World Cup Title

Lord’s: Australia defeated England by seven wickets in the final of the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup at Lord’s to lift the title for a record seventh time.

After being put in to bat, England posted 150/4 in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt led the innings with an unbeaten 58, while Freya Kemp remained not out on 44. Amy Jones (6) and Danni Wyatt (8) failed to make significant contributions.

Chasing a target of 151, Australia reached 153/3 in just 17.1 overs to seal a comfortable victory.

Beth Mooney starred with a match-winning 64, while Phoebe Litchfield contributed 48 to guide Australia to the target with ease.

The victory further cemented Australia’s dominance in women’s T20 cricket, as they secured their seventh Women’s T20 World Cup title, extending their record as the tournament’s most successful team.
