Rahul Gandhi Hosts INDIA Bloc Leaders, MPs, Student Groups for Tea Meet

NEW DELHI: Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has invited INDIA bloc leaders, opposition MPs, student organisations and civil society representatives to a tea meeting at his residence on Tuesday, asserting that they are united in the movement to protect democracy.

In a post on X, the former Congress president said the gathering was aimed at bringing together various groups involved in the campaign to safeguard democratic values. He stressed that the movement would continue and called for unity among the participating organisations.

“Today, I have invited INDIA alliance leaders, opposition MPs, student organisations and civil society representatives to my home for tea. We are all united in this people’s movement to protect democracy, and this movement will continue relentlessly,” Rahul Gandhi said in his post.

He added that the participants would jointly address the media after the meeting to present their collective position.

“After the tea meeting, we will come together before the media and put forward our stand. All protests are one,” he said.

The meeting comes amid opposition efforts to coordinate with student groups and civil society representatives on issues related to democratic rights. By bringing together political leaders and representatives of various organisations, Rahul Gandhi has emphasised the need for a united front.

The joint media interaction following the meeting is expected to provide an opportunity for the participants to outline their position and reiterate their commitment to the movement.

All protests are one.
#Unity
