Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has said that the Somnath Temple stands as an eternal symbol of Indian civilization and reflects the devotion and sacrifices of those who rebuilt and protected it through centuries.
Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi performing the Mahapuja marking 75 years of the temple’s restoration, Naidu wrote on X that India is a land that respects faith and tradition.

“Somnath Temple is not merely a place of worship, but a symbol of the strength and resilience of Indian civilization,” he said.
Naidu added that the NDA government under Prime Minister Modi is following the vision of “Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi” by promoting development while preserving the country’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
Extending greetings on the occasion of the Somnath Amrita Mahotsav, he said, “Har Har Mahadev.”
Meanwhile, Modi shared a picture of the temple on X during his journey from Somnath to Vadodara. Describing the temple as a symbol of devotion, history and civilization, he said it had withstood invasions and the test of time, continuing to inspire strength, courage and hope among Indians.
