Hyderabad: Actor Vijay Deverakonda turned emotional as the acclaimed Telugu film ‘Pelli Choopulu’ completed 10 years since its release. Marking the milestone, the actor shared a heartfelt letter on social media, thanking the film’s director, producers, co-stars and fans for being part of his journey.
Sharing behind-the-scenes photographs and videos from the film, Vijay wrote, “I can’t believe it’s been ten years. We met in theatres, laughed together, fell in love with the story and created a bond that continues even today.”
Calling Pelli Choopulu the biggest turning point of his career, Vijay said the film gave him the confidence to dream big. “It taught me that dreaming is never wrong. I will always remain grateful to my Telugu audience for believing in me,” he wrote.
The actor paid special tribute to director Tharun Bhascker, saying he was fortunate to work with him. He also expressed gratitude to co-stars Ritu Varma, Priyadarshi, Abhay, Nagesh, music director Vivek Sagar and the entire film crew for making the project memorable.
Vijay thanked producers Yash Rangineni and Raj Kandukuri for backing the film at a time when few believed in the team. “They trusted us when many others didn’t,” he said.
Concluding his emotional note, Vijay reflected on how life has changed over the past decade. “I am no longer the carefree young man I once was. Life has become fuller and responsibilities have grown. But everything I do from now on will come from my heart. The love of my family, friends, directors, fans and audience remains my greatest strength,” he wrote.
