Washington: US President Donald Trump has reiterated that Iran must never be allowed to develop nuclear weapons, warning Tehran of further consequences if it refuses to accept a nuclear deal.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, he claimed Iran’s military capabilities have been severely weakened, including its navy, air force and overall combat strength. He said the United States would “win by peace or by other means.”
Trump stated that sanctions on Iran are fully effective and suggested that global oil markets could see major shifts after the conflict, including lower oil prices and a rise in stock markets. He also described current inflation as temporary and linked global economic pressure to the situation in Iran.
He warned that if Iran acquires nuclear weapons, it would pose a serious risk to global security.
