US Strikes on Iran Continue; Reports Claim First UAE Military Action Amid Escalating Tensions

Tehran: Tensions in the Middle East have escalated following reports of continued US strikes on multiple locations in Iran. Unverified reports also claimed that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) had, for the first time, carried out military action against Iran, though there has been no independent confirmation.

Explosions were reported in several strategic locations, including the Iranian capital, Tehran. Blasts were also reported near the Chabahar port, the Bushehr nuclear complex and Iranishahr Airport. According to reports, key infrastructure such as railway bridges and major roads sustained damage during the attacks.

Reports further alleged that the UAE used US-made drones to target the Bandar Abbas port. Iranian authorities claimed their air defence systems intercepted and shot down the drones. The UAE has not officially commented on the reports.

Iran warned that the continued attacks could heighten tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea. Officials also cautioned that any disruption to shipping routes could have far-reaching implications for global energy supplies and international maritime trade.
