Bengaluru: Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge has launched a fresh attack on the Narendra Modi-led Central government, alleging that several flagship schemes and promises announced over the last 12 years have failed to deliver the expected benefits to people.
In a post on social media platform X, Kharge said the government had turned “every promise into a slogan and every slogan into a scam”. He shared a long list of Central schemes and initiatives, claiming that many of them had not achieved their stated objectives.
The schemes and initiatives mentioned by him include Make in India, Skill India, Digital India, Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme, Startup India, Mudra Loans, PM Kisan, Swachh Bharat Mission, Namami Gange, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Smart Cities Mission and National Education Policy.
Kharge also criticised the government on issues including employment generation, farmers’ income, inflation, foreign investment, GST implementation, MSME growth, manufacturing, health infrastructure, COVID-19 management, pollution control and institutional reforms.
“Congratulations Modiji, for 12 years of turning every promise into a slogan and every slogan into a scam,” he posted.
The Congress leader alleged that several major commitments, including creation of jobs, doubling farmers’ income, controlling inflation and strengthening the economy, remained unfulfilled.
