New Delhi: The Ministry of Women and Child Development has invited nominations for the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) 2026, with the last date for submitting applications set as July 31.
The prestigious award honours children aged 5 to 18 years for exceptional achievements in sports, social service, science and technology, environment, art and culture, as well as for displaying extraordinary bravery in challenging situations.
The ministry said nominations can be submitted online through the National Awards Portal. Any citizen, school, educational institution or organisation can nominate deserving children, while eligible candidates can also apply through self-nomination.

Applicants must submit personal details, a recent photograph, supporting documents and a write-up of up to 1,000 words highlighting their achievements and their impact.
The Ministry has urged schools, NGOs, youth groups, panchayats and individuals to identify and encourage deserving children to apply, ensuring that young achievers from across the country receive national recognition for their outstanding accomplishments.
