Busan: Indian Navy warship INS Sahyadri completed its participation in a bilateral naval exercise with the Republic of Korea Navy at Busan, South Korea, on October 29, strengthening maritime cooperation and operational coordination between the two countries.
The exercise featured harbour and sea phases, providing opportunities for personnel from both navies to exchange professional knowledge and improve interoperability.
During the harbour phase, naval personnel took part in professional discussions, cross-deck visits, operational briefings and subject matter expert exchanges. Cultural and sporting activities also helped strengthen ties and camaraderie between the crews.

The sea phase involved coordinated navigation, helicopter operations and joint maritime manoeuvres by INS Sahyadri and South Korean Navy ship ROKS Munmu the Great.
The engagements helped both sides familiarise themselves with each other’s operating procedures and practise coordinated operations at sea.
The successful completion of the exercise reflects the shared commitment of India and South Korea to expanding maritime cooperation and strengthening mutual trust, the Indian Navy said.
