New Delhi: Reiterating its commitment to conducting a fair and secure examination, the National Testing Agency on Saturday urged candidates appearing for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination to ignore rumours about an alleged question paper leak ahead of the June 21 test.
The agency said claims circulating on social media and messaging platforms regarding the “leak”, advance access or sale of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination question paper are completely false and misleading.
In a statement posted on its official social media handle, the NTA said such messages are being spread by organised cheating syndicates that exploit the anxiety of students and parents to extort money through fake promises of question papers.
“The integrity of the examination process is fully intact, and every safeguard is in place to ensure a fair and secure examination for all candidates,” the agency said.
The NTA said it is actively identifying and reporting offending social media accounts, channels and content to online platforms and cybercrime authorities for immediate removal and action.
The examination body also announced that formal complaints are being filed with law-enforcement agencies. It warned that creating, circulating or forwarding fake examination-related content is a serious punishable offence and strict action will be taken against those responsible.
